Your layout is very nice - I don't know what the fittings are, but I like their longer collar look. Simple but effective loop.
More white lights to show off the res - I could hardly see it at first.
What I get is the hyper-expensive Camus Cognac - but what is that other box with the crossed lances & lions ???

Ill try to get more ccfl block by this weekend to do as you said smile.gif. lol, you noticed those, fellow alcoholic? tongue.gif, those are chivas 21 but the limited ed. I think one is ruby edition the other one I forgot. Thats the best space at home to take the photo shot since there are window at the back and straight on the other side.

I'm sure I could afford either one - once - but I'd feel so guilty bout it, I'd just go back to my daily standard, Christian Bros VSOP brandy - been sipping on that for 40 years . . . can it be ?

I never do the whole Email thing, it takes longer than just giving a quick call

I have talked to someone on the phone once a week for a month. If I wasn't getting a hold of them I wouldn't be mad. I even talked to the head of customer service Monday and I'm still waiting.

Hi everyone!

I just ordered a NZXT Switch 810 White case! YAY. Please let me know what you think of the components I'm thinking about getting for my 2nd computer.

Intel i5 3570K
GTX670
AsRock Z77 Extreme4
Corsair HX Series 750W Gold
2x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600
I already have a CD Drive and SSD/HDD

I will be selling my old computer so that will help offset the costs.

Im running on a 1920x1080 monitor and playing games like Guild Wars 2 and Starcraft 2. I'm so tempted to go SLI just for the hell of it but I don't see myself going dual monitors or getting a 30" monitor so I see no point. I think my eyes would explode if I did those monitors.

I've built my first PC a year ago but I'm still fairly new to it. Would there be any reason for me to purchase a +200 motherboard say the Asus Sabertooth Z77 or to purchase 4 sticks 4x8GB to max out the RAM slots?

about the ram i was juts in that situation about 2 weeks ago. Im building my new pc now and my acn support 32 Gb of mem and i was like nah because most people said if your doing like hardcore video rendering or photoshop is really the only time u would notice the lack of the other 16gb of mem. because 16 Gb is still a crap ton, so i just listened to them, spent like 150 less on mem and got a 4x4 pack

" Diva Deluxe, Overkill Extreme, External Cooling Contraption ".
Try saying that five times fiercely fast. biggrin.gif
Anyway,
I scrounged up some material here locally to make a solid base to mount everything on and with enough gentle persuasion, . . err, I mean sweat and brute force, it came out very solid and base-like.
It's exactly long enough for the control head module and the Mo-Ra 18 X 140 rad.
It's the same width as the Switch, (9 1/4") so the control head has a little space on each side.
The overall length is the same as the switch plus cable room behind it. (29 1/4")
It can be desk mounted on the far side of the switch, or floor mounted under it, since it will connect with just a single "power on" signal cable and 2 tubing lines with QDCs. It has its own power supply.
For those that recall the original pics of the beginning of the project, you can see that I shortened up the original acrylic case to an aesthetically pleasing dimension that also fit on the base with the rad behind it.
Tomorrow's tasks will be moving the dual bay / dual D5 Koolance res from the switch to the control head, finishing up some electrical bits, and re-planning the plumbing.
I was originally going to secure the rad to the base directly, but since the whole thing is getting heavy quickly, (and I'm old and feeble) I'm going to make a pair of acrylic "feet" for the rad so that they can attach to the base with a pair of 1/4 - 20 flat head sst. screws each, allowing the rad to be removed quickly from the base, as the contro head is.
The original plan also called for the rad to mount with the fittings right up behind the control head, (nice and neat and tidy) but to make it modular, I'll be setting it with fittings to the rear end, and adding QDCs to the 2 tubes from the rad to the control head. I have the Koolance series 4's for the lines to the switch, these things are mega sized, so no measurable additional restriction from adding two more sets for the rad.
The 2 tubes to the computer loop to be cooled both come from the control head, so everything will be modular, and each module can detach quickly and easily if needed.
Hard to beat a modular module when you have to assemble or move it. (and you're old and feebele . . . did I mention old and feeble, err . . I mean senile)
Darlene
What's an update without pics of the progress, . . .
And of course, there was the opportunity to make up a new PCB, lol smile.gif
The onboard PSU supplies 12V only, and the 3.5" bay displays for flow and fan rpm need 5V and 12V, so I made up a PCB to supply that, and break out the power to the flow meter electronics module and provide a mounting place for it. There are also a couple extra power ports available for later expansion. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Modular module, lol. When you say you made a pcb for power, could you elaborate on that? You mean you grafted some connectors onto a board for ease of use instead of plugging everything into a cable?
I'm using a Bitspower Xstation and I filled it up a long time ago, could use another solution in tandem with the Xstation. The Xstation is nice except for all male pins and height, meaning I had to rework some cables to 4 pin female from male.
Modular module looking good, Darlene. wink.gif

If it is; how are their flow meters? Do they restrict flow badly enough to warrant not using them? I'm thinking of getting 2 in order to measure flow before my cpu block and after to see the restriction taking place, but, if they're overly restrictive I don't think I'll do it. From what I understand, the Koolance flow meters are 3/8 ID, vs my tubing which will be 1/2 ID.

Also, is there any way of reading the flow meters visually without having to spend another $25 on the circuitry adapter?

Thanks for any response.
