Spoke with Ryan from Customer Service again today after he told me on the 9/5 that it would be arriving 9/6 ~4:30 P.M. and this time I actually got a tracking number and found out it should be here tomorrow. It has honestly been the absolute worst Customer Service experience i have ever had, EVER. I called every week for 6 weeks and each week it was a new excuse. "Oh we need Roger to sign a form", then it was "Which controller did you want as a replacement again"? I'm glad they have such a good presence on here with forum reps, but this experience will definitely weigh heavy on my mind next time I consider purchasing anything from NZXT.

I meant the SR-1. The only issue I see will be with the connectors along the top of the mobo-- but I think you'll be able to make it work. I wouldn't try it with a full 60mm rad, unless you're willing to switch to 20mm fans.

I totally understand. Im glad i went and talked to XNine because over a week for processing a simple order was insane. The reason that i got was that they were moving to a new warehouse, so their products were busy being moved to their new location. XNine sorted it out for me and saved my trust for NZXT. If i had an experience like yours, i probably wouldnt be so eager to go with their products, definitely no Corsair customer service. Next time though, just PM Xnine, he was a super guy. thumb.gif

Hi socketus. Thanks for the size comparison 9mm of a difference between rads is a good bit.

Hi jk1060 thanks for the reply think you could be right unless I use 20mm thick fans

Hi traches. Thanks for the reply. Yea lookin like either the sr-1 if I can find a irish or uk supplier at decent postage cost or the rx360 with 20mm fans.

I wonder the following

The 30mm xspc rs360 rad in comparision to the xspc 60mm rx360 = a good stepup in cooling ability.
Now with the 9 mm difference in the thickness of the sr-1 and the rx360 rads would the sr-1 with 25mm push / 25mm pull perform near the same as the rx360 with 20mm push / 25mm pull fans installed?

Thanks in advance for your help and knoledge.

Eric

Oh man, you're asking the wrong guy when it comes to relative performance between radiators. I'd venture a guess that the SR-1 with the full size fans will perform better than the xspc with 20mm fans installed on one side-- it's tough for 20mm fans to develop enough static pressure to work well on a rad.

Eric

Im not an expert but a good high pressure fan in push might perform better than 2 medium duty fans in push pull. A full thickness rad will always perform better than 30 or 45. SR1 is optimized for low fan speeds and RX or the GTX are good for medium to high.

Here is some good reading. http://martinsliquidlab.org/2012/04/14/360-radiator-shootout-summary

Also here is the link to a nice pump and rad optimizer. You can select the rad and adjust fan settings to see what temp differences will that make.

http://martinsliquidlab.org/pump-and-radiator-optimizer-spreadsheet/

I personally just ordered the Alpha Cool UT60 and I plan to run it in push pull with 25mm fans. Darlene is the queen of the forum and she will give you the real answers.

Cant wait to get em in the mail and put my build together.
