Absolutely awesome case for a relatively cheap price as well. Unfortunately bought mine just before NZXT announced their special gun metal and matte black editions but still beautiful none the less. I was jumping around white or black for a while, just decided on a black for a black/blue themed look. thumb.gif
Definately a great alternative to the 800d

How long of screws? I was fine with 1.25" screws.

Yeah, I wrecked an RX360 with too long of screws once (actually tapping it after painting the radiator). That is one nice thing I do love with the Alphacool radiators ... they have a lower bracket that prevents you from screwing into the radiator.

Hey guys and gals, haven't followed this thread in a while so this may have been posted, but,
I now have a GA-Z77X-UP4 TH board in my Switch rig, and because of a heatsink sticking out too far had to remove one of my radiator push fans at the rear of the case.
(RX360 mounted up top)
From the pics looks like the UP5 TH will run into the same problem. No problem for me since I have overkill on cooling, but still.....

HTH someone.

My only concerns are with some of the function. The top and front bezels seem to come off easily as I have seen in the unboxing videos. My question is, how durable is the case, more so - what is is the build quality in terms of function? Is there a lot of thin plastic or is it pretty rigid all around?

TOp top and front bezels do come off without hassle once both side panels are taken off. THe case is very durable and sturdy. The plastic parts are just the 'face' of the pc, nothing structurally. I've owned a 650d before and I feel they are of similar quality. THe switch definitely doesn't feel cheap to me.

Yes SIR! I am rocking the Matte Black SE.

I think he's a freak over that sort of thing. I never even noticed and now that I look at it the color difference is so minimal it doesn't even matter to me.

Thank you all for the advice. I really appreciate it. To my luck, a Micro Center just opened in my town. I will be heading there. I do plan to use a water cooling loop and now I can go with a 360 rad on the top and 240 on the bottom. Can't wait for the upgrade. GUNMETAL IT IS! Of course it will be modded soon after. One thing that us sad is.. I really liked the new Phantom 820 but at $250?? That's pretty steep. It just makes this case a better deal.

Micro center does not carry the SE cases (atleast the one by my place). Given that you can have a 810 from newegg for 129 (after rebate) with free shipping, but if you look at the retail price of the case $179, add in a fan controller and the HUE led controller thats like $50.00 making the switch around $230. Based on that, and the fact that you can mount a 60mm rad in push pull without worrying about anything is worth the extra $20.00.

With that said I never paid full price for any case that I have ever owned and I dont plan to in the future. biggrin.gif

Same here. The Microcenter in Rockville, Maryland only carries the Switch 810 in white (which is where I got my first case).

I had to order my second Switch 810, the gunmetal one, from Newegg for $180 + 10 shipping.

Still, as nice as the Switch 810 is, and as AWESOME as the gunmetal case looks ... I don't care about the price difference. If anything, because the price is higher, less people will buy it, and it will make my ep33n just that much bigger. thumb.gif

Couple that with the $100 (because mine is custom, otherwise it is like $80) for the custom Switch 810 pedestal that Dwood is making me ... It will still be cheaper, and have more room, and will (in my opinion) look better than my $500 ABS Cayon 965 case that I currently use. All for $220 LESS.
