Maximus V Gene in an 810, just mounted the extra 240 to the fan mount on the drive cages, born out of necessity as my current psu (ST1500) would not allow a 240 to sit on the floor.

Nice, you done a better job with the superficial Cable management than I, how much was the complete water cooling setup out of curiosity? I'm thinking about something similar to this.

except instead of 7970s, I'll more than likely do a geforce gtx 660 Ti SLI.

Hey all!

I've been a Switch owner for a few months, and am finally making the jump to watercooling soon as it's almost time to reap the benefits of sales, free delivery and all the usual hoohah over christmas/new years.

I stumbled across this thread while looking for some ideas for parts, and what better than to talk here and get advice from people who clearly know what they're talking about. Epic builds guys, I'm probably going to spend more than I originally planned because of you's biggrin.gif

I'm new to watercooling, so am planning a CPU loop to start but definitely going to expand to GPU once I can afford to, so my initial outlay will be parts that make it cheaper in future to expand the loop rather than having to buy replacements.

I've got a few great ideas from people in this thread, and I'm very enthusiastic about using my case for the purpose which it was built.

Welcome to the club my friend. Spend as much time as you can planning your build. If you have foam or stuff that you have laying around that you can use to make some fake rads to get an idea of how things will fit and how they will look. This is my first time modding and water-cooling and for me it helped.

Make sure you ask questions and get that post count up. thumb.gif

I've already spent way more than planned, and I didn't have a budget or plan.

It is truely as addictive as it is rewarding.

When did they say the intervention starts ?

Darlene, you can send me some spare parts, that can be the beginning of your intervention.

[mind control 1]
Let go.

You can beat this.

Send parts to Rickles.

Right around 950, maybe a little more figuring shipping, call it a grand.

Obviously there's ways to trim that down and get the same performance, but I was after a certain look and didn't want to cut corners.

Dont remind me of the cost of water cooling.

Talk about man proposes and god disposes. The crossover pipe on my car started to leak, gotta take care of that first so the pedestal and the build is gonna take a back seat for a while (A week or two, - as much as i love my car, it ain't fun taking the front end off.)
