Kind of curious. Has anyone here thought about, or more preferably actually done, a mod to the fan hub? I would love to hook this thing up to the PWM on my motherboard. Could you make a molex cable yourself that would split? AKA the two power pins go to PSU and the other two go to the mobo. I don't know enough about it, obviously, to know how to do this or why it wouldn't work. I am going to do some research on this and if it can't be done. Any input, linkage, and or making fun of my ignorance is welcome! thumb.gif

Can anyone get the measurements for the top fans setup. I have an Aquacomputers Airplex Modularity Rad I would like to fit in the top and I need the dimensions to plan far modding if needed. Thanks!

In the normal 240 mounting location you must remove only 1 cage, even with push/pull fans.

You lose 1HDD cage if you put a 240RAD in the bottom. However, I believe it's possible to mount that 240 Rad ON the HDD cages themselves so you can keep both.

Yes and no. I don't believe you can mount 120 fans there. You can mount a 280 on the two fans that can swing out on the cage(s).

I hadn't thought about this, but that sounds like a novel idea. I don't think it would work that way, but I'm not an engineer.

Do you mean how much room you have for a rad with fans on it at the top? Its about an SR1 + 25MM fan with ~5MM left. Someone might have a more specific number.

Need people's thoughts on this water cooling setup and its efficiency.
360 Rad in push/pull at the top.
120 Rad in push at the bottom.

It will be used to cool a 3960x and a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130665
The CPU will be slightly OC'ed.
It's gonna be my first time so...baby steps.

Res>Pump>360 Rad>CPU>120 Rad>GPU>Res

That will be the loop.
Will the setup be good enough to cool them?

Does loop order matter?
If so, how much?

We'll take this in order:

Rad size choices are fine, I would say a 240 in the bottom just because (and if you add more GPU power, you'll be prepared).
Why 3960X? The 3930K is the same, but $400 less.
OC'ing is very easy on the new 1155/2011 sockets, but no one expects you go 5GHz+ smile.gif
I don't know what what res and pump you're using.
I would suggest routing the parts in whatever order is the least amount of tubing.
Loop order does not truly matter. The current order you're using will keep the temps lower for longer when a load is applied, but you could switch all the parts around and the temps will be the same after 15 minutes of 100% load.

Not sure if i missed it or not but did anyone have time to get the top measurements of the case for me? I just need in inched the length of the top in inches. Just from the outside will be fine.From front to back and the width .I would highly appreciate it so i can do some figuring while i am waiting on my case.

At least i got get something done while waiting till the 2nd
