Within the next couple of weeks from what I hear. Depends on the slow-boat hitting shores.

and yes if you wanna do push/pull you can do as you planned above, 2 in and 2 outs

Actually the addition of 3 more fans doesn't add all that much noise, and it does add a fair amount to the heat dissipation. At 1450 RPM, on RX360's, it is almost 25% more heat dissipation.

RX360 w/6 fans > RS360 2/6 fans > RX360 w/3 fans > RS360 w/3 fans.

As far as the noise, it doesn't add much as all. I went from 6 fans on 2 RX360's to 18 fans on 3 RS360's and barely noticed any difference. Here is from one of my build logs:

Well, after running some numbers, it really doesn't matter much. Pretty much the most noise will be generated from the 2 MCP655 pumps, which puts out about 33dBA each.

9 800RPM fans AP-12 @ 9dBA = 18.54dBA (36.08dBA w/2 MCP655 pumps) = 28.25 CFM per = ~120 Watts @ 10C
18 800RPM fans AP-12 @ 9dBA = 21.52dBA (36.15dBA w/2 MCP655 pumps) = 28.25 CFM per = ~140 Watts @ 10C

9 1150RPM fans AP-13 @ 16dBA = 25.54dBA (36.37dBA w/2 MCP655 pumps) = 37 CFM per = ~160 Watts @ 10C
18 1150RPM fans AP-13 @ 16dBA = 28.52dBA (36.72dBA w/2 MCP655 pumps) = 37 CFM per = ~190 Watts @ 10C

9 1450RPM fans AP-14 @ 21dBA = 30.54dBA (37.08dBA w/2 MCP655 pumps) = 50 CFM per = ~215 Watts @ 10C
18 1450RPM fans AP-14 @ 21dBA = 33.52dBA (37.94dBA w/2 MCP655 pumps) = 50 CFM per = ~260 Watts @ 10C

For those that don't already have this site, you might want to book mark it. It is simply wonderful for calculating noise.
Combining decibels - up to 10 levels
Combining decibels − up to 30 levels

Going from 9 fans to 18 fans only added about 3dBA of noise. You can do the math for 3 vs 6, but I don't think it will be much different, maybe 2-3dBA more noise total.

[Edit]

3 AP-14's @ 21 dBA each is 25.771 dBA total. 6 AP-14's @ 21 bBA each is 28.78 dBA total. So yeah, it's 3 dBA louder.

If one can do push pull great, as nothing beats push pull. In the end it all comes down to what your target temps are, I have all my rads in Push except for my 240 which is in push pull, and I'm able to achieve the temp goals that I had set out for myself. Will I add more fans, pretty sure I will.

I just hate paying soo much money for fans. It kills me knowing that you can get a freaking big box fan at walmart for 15 bucks that I guess would be the best ghetto side mounted PC fan. I did pick up more fans from ppcs over the weekend so should be pushing and pulling soon.

Very true.

It also all depends on what you are trying to dissipate. The temps on my overclocked i7-2700K running 24/7 at 4.8GHz for Team Competition Folding are very low.

Here are the temps:

Granted, that is CPU only, but still, for a massive OC and running 24/7 for months at a time, and only 3 stock fans (I'm sure with AP-14's it would be even better), it's pretty nice. And best of all, it doesn't look Ghetto. wink.gif

I kid, I kid.

Also I grabbed the wrong jug of my purple mayhems dye, so once again I have stained my tubes pink (I had mixed UV pink + deep purple). I might just give up on it for a while as it doesn't look too awful. Also tossing around the idea of selling my watercooling gear.

Hehehe I know.

God knows the number of builds I've done over the years that were works of Ghetto art. I am very familiar with taking an 12" box fan from Kmart, taking a jig saw to my $19.99 metal case, and duct taping it to the side. But that was back in my college days.

Well I just bought a new PSU , fans and CPU fan so everything matched up. With the extensions from NZXT this should look purdier than a 1/5 of tequila to a drunk on a 5 day dry spell. Will post pics probably this weekend when I get them installed.
