DId people actually cut a section of the shroud off with a dremel? Or did they shave it back?

Someone did in this thread I believe and IIRC he had the same mobo. Try searching the thread for "fan shroud".

That would be great mate! See i sanded mine back and fitted 100% fine this time round and was least 3mm clear of the 8pin connector clip i was jumping for joy then i spun the fan with my finger only too see the fins being obstructed by the sleeving lol..

This is the cable that was giving me grief in my switch 810

Anyway so far this is what i have come up with
XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=WC-069-XS
XSPC EX240 120mm Radiator - Black
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=WC-084-XS
Scythe Gentle Typhoon x2 120mm 1450 RPM
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=FG-014-SY
XSPC HighFlex Hose 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD, 19/12.7mm, 2m, White (Not sure how much i would perhaps need)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=WC-124-XS
EK PSC Compression Fitting 13mm 3/8" - G1/4 - Black (Not sure again how many of these i would need)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=WC-188-EK
Would really appreciate any help, thanks a mill

As the first reply said I would go with the EX360. You will have plenty of clearance even with push pull, and it bolts right in. I am running one in my build and almost wish I had gone RX360 but then you have to worry about clearance with some mobos.

Here is a shot from my build on how I cut mine so far. Going to add the grill today (should be home before i get home). If you do not want to cut anything the easiest way is to use a 140/120 fan adpater and use a 120 fan.

I have a 120 fan doing the job temporarily in my build while I wait for the grill to show up (Look bottom right).

I have a question for you which is offtopic.gif . Is Fosters (Australian for beer) sold in Australia.

Also go through build logs here and see how others did it. So far you are on the right track. Make sure you plan for a way add a drain valve in the loop so that you can easily drain it if needed. (Look for ball valves)
Also I would recommend the 1850 rpm fans (AP 15).
What pump are you planning.
From what I understand NZXT plans to sell the updated tops in a few weeks. If you can wait just get a new top that will fit any 420 without drilling holes.(for those who wanna install a 420 in and don't wanna drill a few holes)

Thanks so much for that mate i will look into a drain valve for sure makes sense really to have one!

As for a pump and res this is where i am a little stuck, im not to sure what would be best being fairly new to WC im not to sure on the best way to go about picking one. If you have any suggestions id be really grateful

Going to check out some of the logs now and see what everyone else has to say smile.gif

Really like your white tubing looks great its exactly what i am looking for, do you use coloured coolent as well?

This is what I would recommend (RX 360 Kit) as it has everything you need to get started. Buying the kit this way is cheaper and you can always get the fans separately.

I would recomemnt this fan - LINK as its half the price of AP 15 and has the same performance. (Swiftech Helix 120)

The monster 810 is my first real build and first time building my own loop.

Have fun.

If you are not in US, check your local water cooling stuff supplier.
