Oh ! Ok I see now you are building " The Muzzle Flash " gorgeous !! But I don't see the placement of your cougar 120 mm fans in your system yet how are you planing to place it . Your advice will help me in my build thanks . Generally speaking cougar fans are really good but One thing I am worried with fan is that some people who have placed then horizontally had some vibration with them. One question 47 knucklehead why did you get the 120 mm and not 140mm of these fan as the switch 810 can fit 140mm in them.

For your radiator you will want 120mm fans, as that is the size of the rad. As you will be putting it up top that other top spot you can fit another 120mm

Thats 5 120mm

If you want to replace the stock fans you are looking at 5 to 7 more fans. But I would suggest only getting 2 140mm fans. The stock ones are more than enough cooling. I would move the one stock 140mm fan off of the hard drive cages (assuming you keep them) and put it on the bottom. Than I would put 2 of the 140mm cougar fans on the hard drive cages.

So totaled

5 x 120mm
2 x 140mm

Hope this helps

The 120mm and put them in "Push/Pull" in the top on an RX360 radiator.

[Edit]

My mistake, I don't have the HPB's, I have the H's.

I'll snap a photo of it later today.

I'm a fan (no pun intended) of the 120mm radiator fans. I considered going with a 140mm radiator, but since I'll already have a Monsta 360 also in the same machine, which is even a larger radiator than the RX360, it wasn't needed. Also, I had several Gentle Typhoon AP-14 laying around from a previous order, so I figured I'd just stay with them. Then when these Cougars went on sale for 50% off, I just couldn't resist getting 6 of them ... especially since the colors would work with the build so well. So back on the shelf go 6 of my AP-14's for something else.

Rickles that's a great advice thanks I might just do that, but one thing I don't like about these fan is that there is no led lights so My case is all without led's. another thing I am worried with this fan is placing them horizontally I am worried about vibration.

I bought COUGAR CF-V12HPB Vortex Hydro-Dynamic-Bearing (Fluid) 300,000 Hours 12CM Silent Cooling Fan with Pulse Width Modulation (Black)
Since I have asus v-pro and msi 660ti oc and I wanted to keep every thing blue and black theme. I got the COUGAR CF-V12HPB because they are PWM and so I can connect it to the motherboard header and controls the speed. I still don't know how will I get blue led in my case. I a newbie and I have never build a system before all little knowledge I have gained is from reading from guru's like you and tickles and so on ... Thanks for every thing that you guys do to help people like me.

I will soon post some pictures of all the parts I have collected and all spec and seek some more advice .

Excellent, I can't wait to see your build log. thumb.gif

I've never had much of a need for PWM (Mr. Spock, set flame sheilds to max!) because my computers are usually turned on and left to run 24/7 for weeks or months at a time, usually at 100% load, so the benefits of PWM are generally lost on me. But for a normal user, they definitely have an advantage over regular fans.

Got myself a 810 matte black case today and a EK 360 XT radiator for a good price, used items but in good condition. See if i do a worklog here.

WC parts will be

EK 360 XT in the roof with PP and looking at the Corsair SP 12 series, a bit expensive but dont know any other good/quiet fans except Scythe Typhoon
EK 240 XTX in the front with PP to
Alphacool VP655 pump
Phobya 150 or 250 reservoair , dont know yet which fit best.
EK-Supremacy - Acetal
EK-FC680 GTX+ - Acetal
Masterkleer tubing " Clear "
Some Red cooling liqiud
And black fittings that i already got from my old build aquatuning stylie

Looking forward to mount my new Asus Maximus Formula V

About LED color then, what will be best red or white? The theme is red/black for my build so maybe white will fit best?

Hello Guys, I have resumed my build after a month on holidays ... But I have been following all you guys post's.
I replaced my Swiftech 360 with a XSPC 360 AX, the quality of the rads are poles apart. The swiftech is easily "scratched" and not as sexy as the XSPC...dunno nothing about performance difference .
I also replaced my Corsair 120's(PE) fans with the Corsair (SE) 120 I read somewhere they have a lot more staic pressure and better for radiators.
The plan is to fix the 3 120 Cosair to the XSPC rad - attach - the rad to the Switch frame, and 3 Bitfenix Specture pro (led) 140's on top of the frame .
My question is how did you guys attach the rad to frame? ...with out suspending the rad below on some sort of bracket? (The rad has 3 x 120 fan mounts)
Thanks in advance.
