But to help you out definitely
New: 6950
Used: 6970
However aren't the 7870's going to be $300 (speculative of course) that would put the 7850 around $250 would it not, or do you guys think they are going to gouge us with these as well by making them $350-370 for 7870 and $280-350 for 7850?

I would assume the custom cards will be $325-350 for the 7870 but there's still the 7950 1.5gb and the "alleged" 7890 that will fill the 400 and 350 price points (but we don't have much to go on when it comes to a release for those 2)

I'm in the somewhat same boat as the OP, I've got the upgrade itch and I set a budget of $300 but then I'm looking at all the 7950 reviews and that makes me want to say screw the budget and get one of those bad boys since it wouldnt require me to upgrade my PSU

But what about the 7850? That would probably fit the OP's needs since it should basically be a better 6950, just depends on the cost.

They are going to gouge for as long as they can get away with it. What choice do people have other than to buy? It beats the GTX 580 3GB, which is priced nearly the same. Right now AMD doesn't have competition on any tier for their GPUs

this is an extremely nice deal. I'd take it if I was in the market for a video card right now

Well then, I'd say the guy offering you his GTX 570 ought to be getting a PM from you about that card.
