A70

Thread Starter
I recently built a computer and I bought the corsair A70 and the p8z68-v pro gen3 asus mobo. The fans are so large on the heatsink that it covers my secondary ram slot so atm im only using 4gb. Is there a solution to this? I was thinking of either getting smaller fans but they would have to be smaller in width or removing one of the fans. I would prefer to get 2 new good thin fans so does anybody know of a fan with such description. Price isnt super relevant.

My frio covers my ram, so I offset the fan a bit. no biggy, I didn't see a difference in cooling.

What do you mean offset the fan?
he means shift it away from the ram slots. for example...i have the hyper plus 212 and have the same issue as you....if you are facing the fan...just slide it over to the left so you can fit the ram into the slot. I dont know about the design of your heatsink and fans, but if the fans clip onto the heatsinks like they do with the hyper 212 then you should be able to clip them on over to the left....offset or off center in this case

My fan came with these rubber things instead of screws or clips. I attached them to the rubber securing things and just put it on top of the ram. I'm not sure if you're going to be able to see this.

notice the fan is slid more to the left of the photo, towards the top of the cooler.

vs

this one fits snugly on center of the cooler.
