Wireless HDMI

Hi guys, I'm having trouble finding this and I need it for a friend. He's looking for a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver. All the devices I've found so far are USB transmitters that go to a receiver with an HDMI output. What he needs is a transmitter that plugs directly in to an HDMI port. Does this exist? So far I'm coming up with nothing.

This does exist.  One example is Asus Wicast EW2000.  Both transmitter and receiver use HDMI interface.

Thanks! I actually found the Wicast right before I read this. I realized what he was really searching for wouldn't exist because HDMI doesn't carry electricity, just data. So no matter what something will have to plug in through a USB or AC power. Thanks again I'm either going to get the Wicast or the Brite-View HD Delight once I do a little more research

I'm just being an @$$ about this but HDMI carries electricity, that's what the data is transferred over. But it doesn't carry enough to power a device like usb ports! biggrin.gif

sorry for being picky. Glad you found what you needed thumb.gif
