at this resolution you dont even need a gtx 560, although it would work very nicely.

a 560ti/560ti 448 are your best options if you plan to ever get a 1080p or larger monitor (from nvidia, i dont know ati), if you can afford the extra cost.
a plain gtx 560 or 550 would probably do nicely if you dont plan to change your monitor at all for the life of this rig, could perhaps even squeak by with an older generation card 400 series. compare these options to the ati cards being suggested, look up some benches if you have time and decide which gives you the best performance within ur budget.
it also depends what games you plan to play, you should always post that if you know since certain games really eat the GPU memory up and favor higher memory cards.
definately though, if you plan to stick with this monitor, you will be happy with a 560, it will perform as advertised.

def this. you dont need a 560, i'm sure a 6850, 6770, 460, 550 would serve you nicely. so that drop from a 560 to those cards would save you about $50...anyway u can scavenge a used case? i just picked up a perfectly fine case for $15 from a local shop. that way u can spend $50 on a solid ~4-500w psu. that way u can also keep the 2400. or maybe drop to the 2300?

I'd like to thank everyone for their help.

And yes, I did drop the 560 for the 6850 but the owner still wanted a quad-core. Oh well. Budget was tight but we managed.

Thanks again
