I can imagine with every new premium DLC they release, there's only going to be a couple of servers open after like two weeks.

Not quite sure if you're serious...

I think they have every right to charge money, but i think £11 for B2K is a joke, regardless of the games current state. It's a few maps and the odd new vehicle...naw thanks.

Now i expect this pack will cost the same, two DLC's, a few maps - for £22, i could pick up another copy of BF3 for £18 - £25

For me it's because FrostBite 2 is showing it has some serious potential. I'm not a hardcore gamer so maybe I missed a game with this level of detailed destruction but, BF3 is pretty damn sweet to these old eyes. And I'm anxious to see how they better optimize/utilize the engine as the game moves forward. As the "cheap guy" here on OCN, I'd readily hand over another 15 bucks to see what DICE has created.

Yay for new maps!

As for 1942 and 2142 remakes... Im pretty sure most of us would pay 50 bucks for a standalone version of those, and EA knows that. Dont see them as a DLC for BF3.

Perhaps they should address the exploits, bugs and cheaters before doing this.

You have proof that they're going to charge for this? And even if they did, what's 15 bucks for giant maps, vehicles, and weapons? There's always been expansion packs for BF. Don't see what the complaining is about.

As well, they are patching the exploits, bugs, and trying to overhaul their cheat detection methods. This has all been news in the last week.

You're joking, right? Ever had a maglight pointed at you... in broad daylight? It's barely as bright as a candle. Over-nerfed? Not even close. Besides, what self respecting soldier would use one of these *in daylight* giving his (and his units) position away? THAT's unrealistic.

And yes, multi-level buildings with multiple floors. Hell, even make a rush map where you have to make your way down a building, parachuting off the roof onto balconies and such.... Like a skyscraper...with like 20 mcoms.... OOOOOOOOOOOh.......

Skyscraper is meh, but your snow map idea is awesome. As long as it's larger than Kharg and Caspian, has a mixture of urban and forest, plenty of hills/valleys, I'd buy it.

Yep. And something like "secret weapons of WW2" added what, 5-6 maps? Big deal. I bet it was more than 15 dollars on release. wink.gif (But Hellendorn was awesome!)

No way, the skyscraper would be awesome. Elevator shafts, stairwells, offices with cubicles all over, corners, long hallways where your support guys could post up. It would be mayhem.

As far as expansions, let's take a look at the BF series to date (this is not directed at you pursuing):
Battlefield release timeline

2003 Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome $30
2003 Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII $30

2005 Battlefield 2: Special Forces 30.00
2005 Battlefield 2: Modern Combat 30.00
2006 Battlefield 2: Euro Forces 9.99
2006 Battlefield 2: Armored Fury 10.00

2007 Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike 10.00

2010 Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam 15.00

2011 Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand 15.00

So, you can see, 15 bucks, not too shabby.

I would like skyscrapers with working elevators. I haven't seen elevators in multiplayer games in a long time. I remember it used to be so fun in Goldeneye/Perfect Dark/Unreal/etc.
