anyone else disappointed with skyrim?(!!spoilers!!) - Page 2

It's an okay game. Got boring after beating the main. I agree about the MMO part but MMO's feel like RPGs. TBH rather play Minecraft with my friends then play this game. IMO minecraft is one of the best games ever made. Skyrim is a great game but lacks a lot of features. Would be cool if we could go online. What's the point of live if we can't use it. Just my opinion.

I believe leveling was the same way but did not have perks. Basically the more you used a skill the better it got and the better it worked.
I haven't played Oblivion since 2007

Look into reviews and retrospectives of Oblivion.
Every gripe you seem to have with the game is a gripe that was there for past Bethesda games.

Skyrim is par for the course for a Bethesda title in basically every way.

i really liked Oblivion but Skyrim was just boring, buggy, unfinished console port, and with all the hype i expected this game to be better...

i guess i'll have to either play Witcher 2 again to get my RPG fix...

I think it was nothing close to a unfinished console port and really the only buggy parts what I came past was the occasional crashing, which didn't really bother me that much.

The problem though, is how boring it GETS. The beginning of the game is amazing, about to be executed and here comes to dragon, etc. as you fight your way out with either the Imperials or Stormcloaks, but after that It just got, kinda uhh. I'll start with the basic side quests, they were really just linear and there to be there, most of them were collect this for me and the end. The guilds were all pretty boring except for the Thief guild. The Thief guild was really only the fun guild but it sure was an amazing experience, going through and hiding from everyone for the bonuses really made it fun. The worst guild was the Brotherhood though, it was a basic kill X and get your rewards, I mean you didn't even feel like an assassin, just a bloody warrior charging through and taking someone at dagger point.

Another thing that ruined the game for me was the bigger quests. For example during the Dark Brotherhood you are sent to assassinate the Imperial Emperor. Yes, the Emperor, during the civil war between the Stormcloaks and Imperials, but it didn't change, one, bloody thing! I heard no dialogue changes, the campaign was still normal and unchanged, I mean what the hell? The most biggest thing is the end of them main quest, I KILL THE WORLD EATER, yes, I killed the undefetable dragon, I ventured into the dead and came back but NOTHING changed? I saved everybody that lives in Skyrim and most of them knew I was going to kill the World Eater, yet nothing changed? No statues? No dialogue change? No greeting? What the hell? All I got was at the end of the quest some dragons circling me and then that is it. They just left and that is IT. A complete bloody buzz kill.

The dungeons are useless, you get better gear easily from Smithing and Enchanting even before you have time to venture into the same, linear boring dungeons. The only reason to explore is to either
A. Get my monies worth
B. Hope something epic happens
C. Hope finally, finally I find something useful

Also the game is pisseasy.

Back to Witcher 2 for teh 3rd time.
