Shader clocks? rolleyes.gif Shader and GPU clock are tied to each other in the absense of hotclocking (ie same speed). Its a pretty obvious fake.

Thread Starter
Gotta love the double standard from some of the people in this thread (I`m not going to mention names):
These specs are totally unreliable and fake (it is a rumour until officially announced by Nvidia) but the rumour that Kepler won`t have hotclock is totally true. rolleyes.gif There is only 1 source of the abandon hotclocks, and it is from 3dcenter. All other sites are quoting them.
So to summarize: A rumour is not ok, but a rumour about a rumour is totally ok... rolleyes.gif

Kepler may or may not have hotclock. Nobody knows, but these specs are just as "true" as the article @3Dcenter.
Now continue the speculations. Cloudfire out

Why is the GTX640 a 2gb card when the 670 is 1.75gb and the 660ti is only 1.5 lol? WHY DO THE LOW END CARDS HAVE THE SAME/HIGHER AMOUNT OF MEMORY AS THE HIGH END CARDS? It sounds stupid. I also think that 2gb is very small for these days standards. Running a resolution higher than 1920x1080 with some AA is surely gonna max 2gb fairly quickly. I'd say the 680 would have double the 580 giving it 3gb.

Why does everyone attack the source just because? Good lord, if it's not 100% accurate someone says " LOL FAKE!". I don't call out anymore because most of the time, it's completely useless in the end. This would fit the description of what it would take to match or succeed a 7970. Seems legit to me.

Its called out as a fake because of the content, first and foremost. The specs are flat-out wrong and NV has stated (along with numerous sources) that hotclocks are gone with Kepler. And there's the other stuff like stream processors, 1.75gb VRAM (wth?), etc. Too many stupid things to even begin naming here.

This is also the same website that produced many fake kepler slides.

The difference between GTX 580 1.5GB and 3GB is negligible even @ 5760x1080 with 4x AA
Here is a proof

Anything over 2GB is going to be overkill.
