1920x1200...What Do I Need To Max It? - Page 2

If your a BF3 junkie def find a 2 or 3GB card. I'm playing at the same res you will be, 1920x1200 and on bigger maps/servers. All settings High, 2x msaa, 16x af, hbao off, motion blur off, post aa off........sometimes i see the game will use up all of the vram on my gtx 570 and so your fps will dip into the 30's/40's. On average it will use up 1150mb. I'm upgrading to a gtx 580 3gb for this reason alone.

so keep that in mind.

They Key is NO DIFFERED AA. If you keep that off and use Post AA the game will run much much better with a wide range of cards. Differed AA kills card performance. And to me post AA looks just as good with less then half the hit of regular AA..

I run my 580 on all high, HBAO, 16X AO, 2x MSAA, Motion Blur Off, @1920x1080 and usually get a constant 60 fps.. i dont believe I drop below 55 (oced to 900Mhz core)

I can run everything ultra with motion blur and everything else with NO MSAA at constant 60 fps.

Just wish dice would include SMAA so that we dont have to use the injector and risk a PB ban frown.gif

Is that 580 the 1.5 GB or 3 GB? Because when I had my 580 1.5 GB card I would dip well into the high 30's lower 40's at those settings and that is with my 2600K overclocked to 4 ghz and my 580 also overclocked

Would my two gtx 560 ti's be able to handle 1920x1200 on ultra settings? I cant seem to play the game on the cards without horribly choppy gameplay.
A GTX 570 will run most games @ 60fps @ max @ 1920x1200. Some games (BF3, Metro, Crysis 2) need an SLI setup. The only problem with the 570 is that at that rez, you'll run out of VRAM (I get over 120fps in BF3, but cant increase settings because of VRAM limitations).
