I never said it wasn't; in fact, I said very little on his choice to begin with.

He came here asking for feedback on a decision he was making; some disagreed. He didn't seem to like it. Why post then, if your not open to feedback?

Considering what he's going to use it for, either would suffice, or better yet, neither. His current system can probably handle the already existing workload fine.

Why upgrade, if there is no point.

^ This or just wait all together, prices could go down a bit around the same time Ivy Bridge releases. Maybe by then Intel will bump down Sandy Bridge prices and you might be able to pick up a i3 2100 for around $100.

Thanks for all of the posts, and trying to help me. I am still trying to do research to see what is so bad about the FX CPU's other than ther 8cores, I do not see how bad the 4100 and 6100, are so bad what makes the Phenom, so much better. My former build was with a 955 cpu and I loved it I did do overclocking but only saw a real difference in benchmarks, I think that 3.2ghz is fine for what I do.
