Hardware Labs GTX480 Radiator Powder Coating Bubbling Up.

Hello everyone,

May 2010 I purchased a Black Ice GTX480 radiator and a few days ago I noticed that the powder coating is bubbling up all around the end tanks where barbs are located, front, sides and on top . My question is should I be concerned about this as it seems to be getting worse with time? Using distilled water with silver coil and have flushed the loop three times since last May. I'm also wondering if pressurized water could be underneath the surface of the coating causing it to bubble up...?

Thanks in advanced!

Well, if there was a leak, it would leak by now. Paint in not going to keep the water in anyway. I guess it just has not been properly finished and you may be able to ask for an RMA, though if there are no leaks and your not to worried about aesthetics, I dont see any problem cropping up in the future. You could also remove the exisitng paint and repaint it yourself.

What are the standard warranties for Hardware Labs Radiators? I think it's 2-years but not sure, this bubbling has happened pretty recently, if it gets really bad to the point where there is a lot of copper showing on the end tank I'll rma it.
