Thread Starter
I currently use the intellimouse 1.1a but im looking for an upgrade since this one is getting old. I really loved this mouse so if it's something similir that will be good, no i dont want another 1.1a i wanna try something new. I kind of prefer optical then laser..Budget dosen't matter!

Im a really low sense player... i normally use 400 - 800 dpi max and 125hz
The game i mainly play now is CrossFire....then LoL and CSS

Sounds like you don't want one of those mice touting really high DPI or polling rate. But I think those are generally some of the higher quality mice. You could always leave the mouse at the higher DPI/Polling and adjust the sensitivity to a much lower rate so that you still get really good response from the mouse sensor to your computer. Especially if you get a mouse that's actually capable of a 1000hz polling rate, you should take advantage and just tone down sensitivity via driver settings/ windows mouse settings.

I've recommended it before and I'll do it again here. Go to a local tech store, even best buy will do. Put your hand on some of the mice in the store! I didn't do this with my deathadder and lucked out in that I really like the feel. Though I'd never blindly buy a mouse again.

Go to the store and see how they feel in your hand, then go find a better price online. The nicer mice, and even the less nice ones, will let you tweak those sensitivity settings to your heart's content so I really don't think its that important of a factor.

Good luck!

agreed ^^

It looks like dpi is not too big of a deal for you. In this case I would find the most comfortable mouse that you can find. what ever feels most comfortable in your hand is the best for you. I personally use the claw style grip smile.gif

If you aren't a fan of laser, have you looked at MS blue track mice? The sensor works on almost anything. I've got the Sidewinder X8 for my laptop, and love it. You don't have to worry about a mousepad or anything like that. I will warn you, the receiver for that particular mouse is large, but it has never been an issue for me.

Cheap, 800 DPI, Optical. Good ratings. Logitech B100 Optical USB Mouse- ~$8

Oh, and maybe this V7 3 Button USB Optical Mouse. You'll have to lower down the DPI just a hair, but yeah. Cheap mice w/ good reviews + cheap = Win IMHO.- ~$7

Why spend more if you're playing at such a low DPI setting? biggrin.gif I don't know.. if your Intellimouse has been something you've loved, then yeah... I don't see a reason to spend any more than ~$10 on a new mouse. (This is all based on what your listed preferences are). Hope I helped! biggrin.gif

This thing might work on almost any surface but the tracking is mediocre at best... on every surface. And I would care about a good mousepad, it makes a big difference in terms of glide.

If you loved your Intellimouse 1.1 the Zowie AM might be perfect for you. Relatively similar in shape (a little slimmer I guess though) with quite good components in it. The sensor has no prediction, no acceleration, high perfect control speeds (which is important for you if you use a low sensitivity). So basically yeah... more or less an improved Intellimouse 1.1a.

Btw. while I can understand your DPI preference, it won't hurt to use a higher polling rate than 125Hz, as long as it doesn't affect the performance of your computer (which is actually the only "bad" thing that can happen and only if you have a slow and old PC anyway).

here ya go:
http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169414800/categoryId.35208800

if its too sensitive, you can just flip it over and turn it down with a switch thumb.gif

this is the mouse that replaced my razer salmosa (they dont make mine any more) but I've literally had it for 4+ years and it still works like the day i bought it. I however bought mine from woot for $13.37 lol the abyssus is a blue track thing, while my salmosa is a laser but I bet this would do you good.

I'm a fan of razer solely because of my mouse. i cant believe its lasted this long.

I would say the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. Got one for my parents and it works great. If you want to get a +$50 mouse I would get a Razer Naga if you like the buttons on the side, which I love.

Most of those gaming mice are more or less crap biggrin.gif
For example the naga, the games you mentioned don't requiere that many buttons imho. Regardless of that it has a PTE-Sensor which isn't that good and has some bugs afaik....

If you are looking for an improved version of your old mouse, then the Zowie AM/AM-GS would be your first choice. A very similiar shape and a solid sensor.

A different mouse should look out for is the Razer Deathadder.
