More Eyefinity questions, 3840x1024 on 3 1080p montiors?

Thread Starter
So I am trying to run my Eyefinity setup at 5760x1080.

CCC Isn't letting me. It's giving me a max res of 3840x1024 for the three monitors. I bought an Accel Active mini-DP adapter that says it supports 1080p, but it really doesn't?

this is my setup:

HDMI - syncmaster t240hd
DVI - syncmaster 2233
minidp to DVI - syncmaster t240hd

they are all 1080p monitors but my resolution isn't allowed?

it just isnt making any sense to me whatsoever.

any help is greatly appreciated.

That's the resolution for 2 monitors.

Test the active adapter alone if it works. Then check each monitor alone.

If all work, try Official Catalyst ATI Radeon™ Video Card Drivers - AMD

Make sure to plug all monitors to one card. That's how Eyefinity works.

The T240HD has native resolution of 1920x1200 (not 1920x1080).

http://www.samsung.com/ph/consumer/monitor-peripherals-printer/monitor/lcd-monitor/LS24TDNSUV/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification

The 2233GW, 2233BW and 2233RZ have 1680x1050 while 2233SW has 1920x1080. I imagine you have the SW model?

Currently Eyefinity is allowing 3x1280x1024 for you.

Possibility #1: because of the discrepancy between the 2 native resolutions, Eyefinity is confused and thus gives you a somewhat basic 1280x1024?

Possibility #2: Since the T240HD is, strictly speaking, a HDTV (vs a pure monitor) and when it is connected to your PC, they are recognized with a maximum resolution of 1280x1024.

So, go into the menu of all 3 monitors to select and save 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. (note: this will leave black bars at top and bottom of screen of the two T240HDs)

Additional questions:-

a) How is the primary (master) graphics card HD6970 connected to each monitor?

sapphire hd6970.JPG

b) From card's which output to monitor's which input (VGA, DVI?, HDMI) ?

c) Adapters used? list details

d) What mode (PC mode or TV mode) is chosen within the T240HD?

A/B) Dual-Link DVI to 2233; HDMI to HDMI on one t240HD; miniDPtoDVI to DVI on t240HD

D) They have different modes? I downloaded drivers for them so they should be on PC mode.
