Low profile DDR3 @ 1866 Mhz and 1.5V? (Nofan CR-95C compatible RAM)

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

Is anyone aware of any DDR3 8GB memory kits that have a voltage of 1.5V and runs at 1866 Mhz?

It looks like Nofan CR-95C allows a maximum RAM height of ~3.2cm (1.25 inch) and I can't find any decent ones with <10 timings. It's either 1600 or huge heat spreaders.

I was planning to get this, but I am not sure if they will fit

http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs.aspx?imodule=BLT2KIT4G3D1869DT1TX0

DDR3 PC3-14900
9-9-9-27
DDR3-1866
1.5V

Any suggestions?

The interesting thin is that NoFan told me:
Quote:
Our heatsink has maximum clearance of approximately 3.1 cm

However, some reviewers claim it's 3.2 cm or even 4.0, so I am confused.

EDIT:

I have just found out these

Samsung 2x4GB DDR3-1600

Should I just go with Samsung and OC them to

2000MHz 9-9-9-24-1t 1.55 V?

Although even when OC'ed, it performed in line with 1600 Mhz kit so it's worrying.

I would go with those Samsung. They look to be exactly what you need. I just ordered 3 kits to test out myself!

I found some other ram might fit your needs also that is clocked at 1866 i dont see any size on them tho but they are much smaller then alot of the other ram it looks like.

And these also look to be 3cm tall.

I'd go with that Samsung RAM.

ericeod,

Can you post some benches and OC results once you get them?

Repped all.

I'll go with Samsung sicne they seem to have lowest voltage and best headroom for OC

In case anyone else wants to buy Sammy RAMS but are not from US

I would probably just get the Ripjaws or Snipers (depends on how you like the looks). Even though they have heatspreaders that sort of look high (they really aren't), they fit under all the heatsinks to my knowledge. My snipers fit under my NH-D14, and my Ripjaws fit under my Mugen 2 smile.gif

Thanks but it looks like I can achieve better timings with Samsung at 1.5V smile.gif

I would and will go the Crucials. Have known a person that tried the samsungs 30nm on SB, and they did not well at all, at least not @ 2133. They are more intended to X79.
