Ok ok So Im sure this is out there but seriously.
I just RMA my 6950 2gb after getting some weird screen splitting issues and stuff.

I Told sapphire that i need my card soon as i can cause i use my computer for work and stuff also being with out it kinda sucks so im on my netbook now.
Anyways They told me they make my process now 1-2 days, instead of a 1-2weeks which is much better.

But what should i be expecting?
A new card? or refurb?

i honestly hate refurb feel like they just not gonna work again. idk XD

Also does anyone know if you can like see if you can get a upgrade to a 7950 and pay the different i would gladly do that.

With Sapphire RMA, Is it any good now? i have not used a sapphire card for awhile since like 9250 days.

I've never RMA'd with Sapphire but most likely be receiving a refurbished card but you could possible receive a new card if they are out of refurbished cards, and for the 7950 thing I don't think Sapphire has a "step-up" program like EVGA does. I've seen people with good RMAs and some with bad, but almost all companies has at least a one bad RMA review.

Expect a 6970 if you are lucky. Or another 6950 that you could probably 'unlock' into a 6970 biggrin.gif

I mean its Sapphire, Its not like they are ASUS or EVGA rolleyes.gif besides the card is already if from the high end tier from the 6000 series so chances are slim you would be actually getting a 7970, but if you do that'd be sweet dude!

Right, Well i can only think with them saying they going to make the turn around time alot shorter that they will send me a refrub, and not just repairing mine. Yeh I dont think they do either but would be sweet as i would gladly pay they 150dollars or whatever it is so i can upgrade to 7950. seeing as they are sold out right now, i dont think they would do it regardless.
True most do, but just wonder if they got better then they used to be.

Can only wish, that be sweet if they did. But i dont even know if my tiny 500w could handle that 6970 XD.
unlocking to 6970 not really my thing, i looked into it, just never really tryed it. i dont even think the dirt 3 edition can.
i did hear that some of them already had it unlocked on the second bios, i check mine it was not there so.

Yeh i dont think ill be getting a brand new 7000 series.

My main concern is that i dont want them saying like oh well we found that you did "insert here" and say well we cannot accept your card for RMA.
ive heard horror story about some company doing that.

Why would they give him a 7970 when they could give him a 7950?

Yeh Will do. Whats wrong with yours?

So far there email support was great, I expressed my concerns about me working with my computer and not having a backup card. So they help me out by making the turnaround time alot shorter.
Thats a plus for them smile.gif

Hey Bud, if you are willing to pay the difference then you might be able to get a 7950 or 7970. Just ask for the higher ups in the customer service department, you know managers and people like that. Ask them and request them to upgrade you to the 7000 series, say that you are willing to pay the little price difference aswell. This is very do able if you go through a local retailer. I once RMA'd a 512MB HIS 4830 card and they gave me a 1GB HD4890 for a $30 difference since they didnt have any 4830's in stock. biggrin.gif

Yeh ill defiently see what i can do, Ill call them up tomorrow and see what i can do.

If i could pay like 100, 150 for a upgrade i do it.

But i have to buy a new psu while im at it i guess.
dont think my 3 year old 500w will handle it.

But has been rocking my current system really well. smile.gif

can't say much about saphire but when i bought an msi gtx 570 that wasn't working from the start i eventually rma'd it due to crashing drivers. took about 1month and a half, got a refurb one that had the same issue, rma'd it again, another refurb with the same issue, got very "politacal" with the retailer i bought it from and in the end i got a gtx tf3 pe oc edition for no extra cost, still works great!
