That is called SecuROM. The only fix I know of is to buy it again.

DRM prevents it from being installed more than 5 times to prevent piracy, but it's really just BS.
I think EA makes a tool to remove it though, I'd google around.

you must be kidding me... i heard people installing this so called diagnostic program that scans your PC up for such games and updates their exe file to get it working again. so basically.. omg i cant believe this.. if i knew this from the first place i wouldnt of bought it, how come its not made clear to users? i know iam not the only one experiencing this problem, iam yet seeking help to be able to fix it. mad.gif no more business between me and EA (or i would try to make it to the minimal)

That isn't EA, it's the government. But it is still BS. I do believe they make a tool to remove it though. I just bought it, and my Crysis 1 install has no DRM, PM me and i'll see what I can do.

Pirate it? Sometimes these companies leave you no choice, i have Crysis on Steam but as i stated earlier i have around five different installations of it each with different mods etc on one pc, i could never pull that off with the Steam copy so i was forced to go down the other route, i've already paid for the game anyway so if they wanna make things difficult and unfair then w/e.

yeah... I bought Crysis 1 and Warhead separately; BOXED WITH CD's, restored my computer several times, and got the same DRM error message on it, then cracked it (obviously) just to play my own game that I already purchased...

Then later on, found a good deal on Steam (Crysis Maximum for like $10) and purchased that but didn't think it effected the steam version like this also...

I read into running a program that scans the amount that you can use, but you need one free one registration task apparently and need to contact EA to remove this... which is really disappointing and makes me resort to cracking the game... Not only for the DRM, but putting the CD/DVD in while playing...
