If you have a Asus board then the cu2 is the way to go. It offers 20% cooler then reference and I believe the twin frzr is only 10%

Buy a better mother board. Problem solved. My Asus Sabertooth X79 will fit 2 of these nicely both 16x with room to spare. Also they are making a waterblock for this card. I doubt they will make one for the frzr. http://www.bjorn3d.com/news/EK_preparing_new_water_block_for_ASUS_HD_7970_Direct_CU_II/1235.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+NewsAtBjorn3dcom+%28News+at+Bjorn3d.com%29

Also screw MSI, they release the 7950 version twin frzr first and give us a ugly reference knock off Oc'd card for 600.00

I'm not sure if the ability to fit 3 slot versions of the same card is enough of a "problem" to warrant getting a different board over, at least for most.

Asus always has the best packaging. Yeah it's just packaging, but it sure makes you feel like you bought a golden chip.

MSI makes great products. The TwinFrozrII's are great cards on air options and the Lightning is the best non-reference over clocked card on air. Period.

Screw nothing.

MSI does make great products, but what makes them greater then Sapphire's? Sapphire's OC edition 7950 is great, look Anand's review... much better then reference and XFX black:
