I never knew so many people would be interested in vt-d.

Then again, I'm probably the wrong crowd for this CPU, since I'm mostly a gamer biggrin.gif

Waiting to see the OC results.

To be honest I'm not really into VT-D that much, but soon I will. There is also the factor of resale value and that fact that Everywhere has been out of stock ever since. But I'm happy I finally ordered one tonguesmiley.gif

Ill put it this way. I have a friend who uses 4 computers with 2 3960x on an evga sr2 (sorry the exact mobo escapes). He does film and photo editing for an independent film maker and just like most of us, he has to wait in line to get a chip. He has to use virtulization to be able to communicate properly with his co-workers and keep his workstations all on the same page (obviously i am over summerizing but i think u get the picture).

Only Xeons can run in multisocket systems, no?

Thanks for the link. Got sick of waiting for Newegg and a $20 upcharge on a $600 part isn't too bad. Just ordered it like 20min ago and already got a tracking number. Never seen that before. Probably just an automated generation though. Can't wait till it's here so I can finish my build.

Received a C-1. Contacted Intel customer support, first via chat, guy said he would open a ticket. Received an email from Intel Cust Service saying that it is going to be fixed via a bios update so no swap can be given. mad.gif The fix is a software one, not in the cpu architecture so this is BS.

How did some get their swaps to a C2? Any guidance is appreciated, please PM me.
