What cpu heatsink should suit my needs? - Page 3

Asrock motherboards allow use of 775 cooler mounts, no other board do.

Can you contact Sunbeam concerning an upgrade kit for the Core Contact Cooler? Thermalright offers kits for their older heatsinks.

Thermalright Macho is $53 shipped on Amazon, large, quiet and excellent cooling. Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is about $26 shipped.

CM Hyper 212 EVO is $35.
Lots of coolers in between.
EVGA Superclock is $50, Thermaltake FRIO OC is $55.

The Hyper 212+ is meh.... it should not be a standard and an exclusivity at this price range.

Considering that you can get the Enermax ETS-T40 T.B. for the same price, which outperforms its improved cousin, the 212 EVO, for $5 less than the 212 EVO, and for the same price as the 212+.

Thanks for all the help so far, I've narrowed down my choice to the following 6. I've ruled out the high end contenders as excessive for my needs.

CM Hyper 212 EVO $27.58
Corsair A70 $29.99
Scythe Mine 2 $29.99
CM V6 $51.15
NZXT Havik 140 $59.99
ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B $59.99

I have my own list of pros and cons of each of these, I'd like to hear the opinions of the enthusiasts. I've already done extensive research, but would like some more opinions on this specific list. Thanks!

Out of those you should go with CM 212 or the A70 IMO.
