X1900XTX Display Problem

Thread Starter
Here is my setup:

Asus P5B Deluxe
2GB G.Skill PC6400
C2D E6600
20.1" Samsung 204b
ATI X1900XTX
Swiftech watercooling for CPU and GPU with RAM heatsinks on Video Card

Fresh drivers for everything

Everything seemed to work fine for the first couple of days after I built it, able to run all games at 1600x1200 with maxed out settings, but then I booted into XP and noticed small horizontal green and pink lines all over the Windows desktop. I turned down hardware acceleration one notch and the green and pink lines go away.

However, now when I try to play games (BF2, Call of Duty 2, etc.) I am getting weird artifacts (missing polys, flickering mouse pointer, etc.) and I am unable to run at high settings.

Now, both the CPU and GPU temp probes don't show temps that are outrageous, but does the memory on the X1900XTX just get too hot to be effectively cooled by heatsinks alone, or could this be some other problem, like do I just need to put factory HSF back on and RMA?

Thanks for the help guys!

Oh yeah, I have not OC'ed CPU or GPU yet.

Well, sounds like the card just went bad and not necessarily because of heat or overclocking but just gave up.

RMA time.
