The effects aren't anything you can't live with though, you might just need a tad more voltage for stable overclock if you have all your ram slots filled. Puts strain on memory controller (or something).
ASRock Extreme4 gen3 is a great mobo, had it and loved the heck out of it wubsmiley.gif
Also subbed, I've been waiting for a black Switch build log.

Thank you very much for your info. I appreciate you taking the time to explain that for me. thumb.gifthumb.gif

Heres what I ordered today

SSD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441

Optical - (for now) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106335

Ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233147

Hope I made the right choices!

Cool, I knew back in the day they were good just wasn't sure if something came out brand wise that was better. I thank you for your input again.

Ive read where people were complaining about the heat sinks size with air cooled systems, but since this is going to be liquid cooled it shouldn't be a issue.

Hmmm, thinking of what I should order now! I got pretty much everything hardware wise minus the CPU but I'm waiting to see if the new CPU's are coming out soon and to see when that happens if the i5's will drop in price.

Just working on my loop equipment. I have the CPU block already, so I guess I'm gonna order the res, and the rads for this. Oh and some fans as well. I think I'm going with compressing fittings and clear tubes and than ad that dye that reacts with the lights.

Ram is ram, you won't see much of a difference between the good brands and ram doesn't affect much on 1155 systems anyway.

Ivy will be out Q2/2012, it's been officially confirmed by Intel IIRC. To be honest, it's not looking as awesome as everyone thought it's going to be. Practically same overclocks as sandy bridge does and overall performance increase of 5-10% and considering that 2500/2600k will still handle anything you throw at it with ease, especially when overclocked past 4ghz, I just don't see the point to wait for Ivy. Even I probably won't be going Ivy but rather a 2600k when I get off my arse and buy some hardware even though it's likely going to happen after Ivy is out.

Have you decided on the watercooling parts already? Just remember to check out Mayhem's dyes wink.gif

OK, so I will order that CPU (I5 2500K) soon than, I cannot wait that long to see if theres a price drop!

I'm doing research as I type on what I want to order for the water cooling parts, heres what I need.....

Pump
Res (cylinder type)
Hose (clear)
Fittings (compressing? Matte or flat black finish)
Rads ( Need to get the exact sizes that fits on top of the switch 810 case and the size of the lower, thats easy info to find though)
And of course a million fans! I'm thinking push/ pull for the top one and not sure about the bottom.

I have the CPU block already.

Theres just too many things out there, I think I got the res figured out but in a 250mm size... http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13126/ex-res-273/Phobya_Balancer_150_Reservoir_-_Black_Nickel_45151.html?tl=g30c97

But having a hard time deciding on what size hoses I want, once I figure that out I can look at fittings, thinking compressing fitting.

I also want to have a fill port on top of the res and a drain port at the bottom. The drain will exit the rear of the case so I would need a shut off valve and a threw case fitting for the fill and the drain. Id like to make that whole order today if possible.
