if i have corsair vengance blue 1866mhz ram, but my mini itx mobo can only handle 1333mhz ram, would it downspeed it or just plain outright not work?

Downclock it.

You might consider returning the ram if you can, as 1333mhz is a bit cheaper...

its $60 for 8gb(2x4) corsair vengance(blue) ram, pretty cheap imo. Also is corsair vengance compatable with almost all mobo's?

Yeah, corsair vengeance will work with just about all current boards, Intel or AMD sockets. thumb.gif

Just FYI, its like $35 for the 2x4gb 1333 kits, but if its not breaking you budget, its not a big deal, just the extra speed with be unavailable.

Oh sorry, I was thinking of the G.skill ripjaws. If you like the looks of the vengeance its fine, looks are pretty important right? lol.

it is when its a theme case tongue.gif! anyways thanks for the info, much appreciated, one last thing though is a 9-10-9-27 latency good?

Haha, yea, I was agreeing with you. If your gonna spend the cash, it might as well look good too. 9-10-9-27 is the standard timing for 1866mhz. Typically you can tighten up the timings if you are running a lower speed, so since you will be running the ram at 1333mhz you should be able to lower the timings.

Do a quick search for the official Corsair Vengeance owners thread, there is tons of info in there. thumb.gif
