I would keep the harddrive, 9800 Pro looks good, as for the intel stuff I don't know (is it really worth upgrading for 200mhz?). For memory, since your on an intel setup PC4000 memory would be good. Maybe Kingston Hyper X PC4000. Corsair is VERY good as well (probably better). Just buy the best stuff you can afford. IMO it's definately worth not upgrading the CPU to get better ram if you had to. FYI: This thread might be moved to the general section since it has to do w/ not just memory.

Hey someone, what FSB does the average good overclocking intel mobo hit? Around 260mhz? Or what?

A good o/c'ing mobo should hit at least 260mhz FSB. A really good board will hit 300+. I'm not sure if the P4P800 can hit 300+ FSB, but I know their P4C does. I've also seen ABit's IC7-Max3 hit 300FSB and my DFI Lanparty Pro875B hits 300+. Can only do that if you have active cooling on the NB hs and of course some decent cooling on the cpu.

With some PC4000, the 2.6c could get up to 3.5 at 1:1 ratio. I think the 2.6 has a multiplier of 14. Can't remember.

I know on my 3.0c I'm running right now at 250 x 15 = 3750mhz, at 1:1 ratio and with OCZ Gold 4000. I could go higher but I'm happy with 3.7Ghz.

The 2.6C multiplier is 13, I got this CPU.

Ok so that at 1:1, 13 x 250 = 3250Mhz.

Thanks Aeolus
