Is it possible to use 2 power supplies in 1 system?

HI, my gt 750 fan run 100% when cpu and gpu is on full load. I thought is it possible to use 2 psu. i have a Corsair VX 550W that is not in use, then i thought it is possible to use it on my graffik card's ? and the gt 750 on cpu

i would do it the other way round since in most cases the gpu uses more power but to awner the original question yes you can and im pretty sure the sell the wire to do it on newegg.com

I think you need to connect the green and a black wire on the 24 pin, though i'm not sure.

i think 750W can run you pc without any issues, can you post your components?
and youll save $$ if you run it with single PSU

I would love to do this. seeing as how I have two 600w PSU's When I upgrade my GPU's I would not need to upgrade my psu. Sweet.
