As title states looking for a pair, speakers that will stand upon them are a set klipsch b3, which are 9 3/4 deep by 7 7/8 wide. Preferred carpet spikes and black.

36" is actually quite tall. Are you sure you need 36"?

Thanks for double checking, just re measured and seems 30-32inch will be plenty.

I made these recently for my home theater. The bottom of the speaker sits at 32" including the spikes. It's about the right height for 2 channel stereo but I've found it to be a bit too tall for where my home theater seating is. It was honestly a huge PITA to make these and it took 3 weekends before I actually finished. I am going to build another set for my bedroom with nicer top and bottom woods, but it really is not going to be worth the trouble!

Love your stands, and thanks for the link. But none of the stands in height required at your link dont give the speaker plate dimensions.

What size speakers are you going to use? You don't necessarily have to match the size of the stand exactly to the size of the speaker. Typically the speaker might hang off the stand a bit, and that's fine.

Just grab some of these if the stand doesn't already have some sort of damper on the top. It will hold the speaker just above the surface and it won't matter if the speaker doesn't exactly fit the size of the plate.

Thanks for clarifying that the speaker plate dosnt have to match the speaker. Speaker dimensions are in op. I think Im sold on these though, http://www.standsandmounts.com/transdeco32temperedglasssteelspeakerstand-td-32.aspx
