You would want to shop at Parts Express for an amplifier.
Dayton DTA-100a is $90, and its by FAR my favorite T amp to recommend.
Lepai TA2020 is $21, and I've been hearing half and half response on it. Half good, half bad. I'll have one early this week to verify the problems I've heard about it. Most of the problems SEEM to be about interference noise coming from it, possibly due to bad cabling. Again...will be verifying this week.
Dayton DTA-1 is $45, only works with 4 ohm speakers though (most home speakers are 8ohm). Technically it'll work with 8ohm, but it'll only put out about 7-8w RMS at an 8ohm load, compared to 15w RMS at 4ohm.
Stands, so long as the speakers aren't too heavy, monoprice has some stands for $12 (just bought 2 sets myself, again...will be arriving this week).
You could also theoretically use a car amplifier or a car stereo head unit as well, so long as you can get a solid 12v to them.
