I wish. I spent all that money on the Mac to begin with. Had I just invested the 3 grand I spent on a monitor and mac and printer/scanner all that, yes, I would be sipping tea and ordering my scantily clad maid to clean! But alas, I'm a poor full-time college student now....

...WHAT?!
A one phone release per year is the reason why they are making so much money off them but they aren't making money off of one phone release.
My mind is blown...
No no, you're talking about overall sales, and I'm talking about profit per phone.

And therein lies the value of PCs over Macs. Not tying up all your capital into overpriced depreciating assets allows you to actually invest whatever's left over.thumb.gif

I loved my Mac. In fact, I would never have bought another computer during that time. OS X was years ahead of anything else on the market. Let's not forget that any hardware during that time (early 2000's) was expensive, regardless of the platform. I don't regret the purchase whatsoever. It is, after all, what really got me into loving computers in the first place. I had used them all my life, but never liked them.

10 years ago I saw it coming, that Apple was going to make a come back. No one believed me. Now look at them.

10 years ago Apple stock price sat between $7 and $12 per share. If you predicted so well you should be a millionaire by now cause they increased more than 40x their initial value thumb.gif
So, did you invest anything in Apple stock back then?

Unfortunately not. I spent so much on computer stuff and my first car (350 a month and 295 insurance) that I had no money after paying rent and such. Trust me, I'm kicking myself now. Even if I spent 2K back then I'd be sitting nice right now.

But, ya know, when you're 20 years old and out on your own, working full time and trying to make it by, investments aren't the first thing on your mind. Now I'm 30, and I do keep a watchful eye for something that could be this big, unfortunately there's nothing out there right now that is.
