how do i find out my LG IPS236V Response time

Thread Starter

I bought an LG IPS236V at bestbuy and so far the monitor FANTASTIC. Colors are extremely vibrant, I do not see any ghosting & its just a great monitor but I am wondering what the Response time really is. LG has the Panel at 5ms but I know that with IPS panels its not 5MS its always higher. I dont know hwy I want to know but I just do so how do i find out. I know there are better IPS panels out there but this is my first & I love it :)

No. There's nothing specific about IPS panels that makes their 'response times' higher than stated. That stat is just as accurate as any response time figure you'd get on a TN panel. That is, not very. The problem is mainly in that a simple number won't be able to describe what actually happens during transitions. It only describes one possible transition, not others.
