IntelBurn test error?

Hey, I have a setup of i7 960 and I am running an stress test to see what is the highest bclk i can achieve.

I have been using the intelburn test but I seem to be getting unstable message after 3 or 4 runs, while when I run prime95 for 2 ~ 3 hours without any problems.

The setting that I use for the intelburn test is maximum, memory is usually around 4500, and I do 5 runs, with all thread.
but when I run with stress level at high (2048) and 5 runs with all thread, I come out with a success?

Is my memory card damaged?

Hi there. I dont quite get the question.
When you use the "maximum" preset you use more RAM that stresses the system more that - this increases the chances that the test fails.
Prime uses an other algorithm to stress the system than IBT. Plus you can select what you want to stress with prime.

I have no idea what a memory card is but I guess you mean a memory stick or RAM stick. I rather doubt that it is broke or damaged. You change the BLCK which changes the system - this is why you get errors.

Anyway good luck with whatever you try to achieve.

EDIT: Maybe this should be moved to the CPU section since this is not benchmark related.
