Thats fine.

You want under 1.65v for Air.
Under 1.725v for Water.
Anything goes for dry ice/peltier/"Extreme" methods...well...under 1.85v or so I guess
2 OP pls nerf

Yes 1.5 is fine with a cooler like the BT, you don't want to get it too high unless you have phase or LN or anything.

While it is fine...I don't think it's necessary for such a mild overclock. I would thint you should get it at stock vcore.

I guess it depnds on your defintion of "safe"

I usually recomend checking the specs from Intel for your specific CPU (link in my sig). Anything over those ratings may cause drasticly shorter CPU life.

As always, only you can make the decision on if higher risk of CPU failure is acceptable for you.

Um I completely disagree with you here. Weather his chip is a 530 or 630 or even a 631 ceder, none of those voltages you stated are by any means safe. 1.65v on air??????? Are you kidding this will almost gurantee his chip to fry in a very short time, and 1.725 for water thats just nutts. Maybe for a 2 minute screen shot or validation but I would never recomend that as a safe vcore for any chip on water. These voltages you are talking about is usualy found on Phase change systems and not air or water and most of all not on 24/7 applications. At stock his chip should run from 1.25-1.35. And when overclocking on air he shouldnt pass 1.5ghz and on water Id still keep it bellow 1.575(and even thats pushing the safe level), but 1.65 on air is insain and will yeild a damaged chip in pretty much no time especialy if this is a highly used PC.

1.5 is fine for this chip.....You should judge this by the temperature of your CPU using TAT....as long as your temperatures are within an acceptable range, then the voltage you are supplying is OK. I do not know how much more you will be able to get on air....I know that I can run at 1.6-1.625 on my water rig without any issues 24/7 and I am very HARD on my PC...I do 3D design day in and day out.

Hope this helps
