i'd get the normal 212+. mine keeps my 4.5ghz 2600k under 70C in prime95, and under 60C during heavy gaming in Crysis 2/BF3.

I've been looking at the Corsair as well, but I'd rather go for the Noctua NH-C14 as I've got a quite good deal.

I would be stupid not to buy it for such a price.

Hey Guys thanks for the help and suggestion.

I decided to get a Noctua NH-C14 for 35$

I've just installed it and applied new TIM (Arctic Silver 5).

At the moment I have idle temps around 27C-30C.

I've got around 53C-57C while running prime at 100% load for 30 minutes, at 3.8GHz

Are those temps acceptable with this cooler?

As I mentioned in the original post, my CPU is an Intel I7 2700K.

Just tried to OC to 4.2, I'm getting temps around 68-69 while running prime Prime95 for 30 minutes.

I've now re-seated the heatsink, and applied new TIM.

I'm pretty sure that my heatsink wasn't seated properly, as I'm getting 58C-62C now while running prime on 4.2GHz

Thanks smile.gif
