PMP-450 Pump Speed Question

Thread Starter
I have 2 PMP-450 pumps and I am trying to make sure I have them set right. this may be a silly question but how do i know these things are set at the right speed setting. I can't hear a difference at all in speed settings from 1 to 5. I don't have the best hearing and without some flow meter I want to make sure I have the best setting possible.

In the pic, I want this set to 5. The red switch looks to have an arror pointing at the speed I want. Problem is that red dial turns all the way around, it doesn't stop at 1 or 5 so I don't know for sure I have it right.

I'm going to guess no matter how many times you turn it it will only switch to the one its pointing to. If you cant hear any difference in pump speeds, then by all means turn it up to 5. The faster flow the harder it will be for it to heat up.
