Recommended Card for NVIDIA 3D Vision

Thread Starter
Hi I currently have an EVGA 560 Ti 448 Classified Card (1.2GB GDDR5). For performance it is comparable to the GTX 570.
The card performs very well for 2D settings. I was wondering what to expect in 3D performance.

I'm in the market for a 3D vision 2 lightboost compatible monitor (27"Asus VG278H or 24"BENQ XL2420TX) and had some concerns on whether a single card in this class could support 3D vision.

I am willing to drop games to medium or high settings instead of ultra @ 1920x1080.

1.) Will the single 560 Ti, 560 448 cores, or 570 card be able to push 3D games decently?
2.) Will the single 560 Ti, 560 448 cores, or 570 card be able to push 3D movies at high or full framerate?

I am also considering another 560 Ti 448 Classified card, but I don't want to if I don't have to.

Anyone have experience with this? Thanks so much!

Take the frames you get in whatever games you play, and half that. That's about what you can expect 3D to do for your performance, and you'll have to drop the settings which you say you're willing to do.

Get the second 560 if you care about keeping your fps where they are now, and still be able to game at high settings.

When I had one 570, I was perfectly happy with 3D Vision performance in every game I played except BF3. Even Skyrim with tons of texture mods performed great. I added a second 570 and the performance in 3D Vision now is brilliant. However, BF3 still lags a tad too much for my taste so I'm blaming BF3 for that. Besides, 3D Vision in BF3 hinders my online ownage so I stopped using it! tongue.gif
In everything else though, 3D Vision is brilliant.

If your 560 Ti card is like a 570, I wouldn't bother changing it. SLI would be a great idea, however!
