Apevia Iceburg 680 and EVGA GTX 295

So yesterday I just received an Evga gtx 295 but I am wondering my current psu is strong enough, or good enough, to power the video card. I am looking at the specs and I can't really make sense of it. This is the psu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148028

Also, I have read that the video card needs a minimum a 680 watt psu with a +12 Volt current rating of 46 amps. Thanks biggrin.gif

Nnnnnnnnope.

You've got a piece of crap Youngyear 300W at best. It's garbage. Absolute trash. Throw it out and get something that's honestly rated.

The fac that is has a -5V rail is a dead giveaway that this unit was designed in 2003 or earlier. NOT designed for modern systems. This is a garbage unit based on an ancient PCB in a crappy acrylic case built as cheaply as possible in a grimy factory by a fly-by-night company. Kill it with fire.

Yours is ok. Decent Enhance effort.

Crap PSUs don't make me mad. I'm just not allowed to use profanity, so I have to make my point by repeating the terms "crap", "trash", and "garbage" a number of times proportional to how bad the unit is.
