Well I recently had a FX 6100 wouldn't get past 4.2ghz without it being at 1.525v now that aside I just exchanged it for a 8120 hoping i could easily get 4ghz-4.2ghz I'm using the v6GT CM

any advice on these chips will be gladly apreciated.

I'm getting a bit pissed at this... it's not bad stock but... for a reason i got this thing and was for overcloking >.

I had fsb at 241 for 4ghz and multi at 17x i beleive running stable without any voltage change ran prime 95 for about 20 min didnt go past 58C thought it be fine since temps won't get that high while i'm gaming/multi tasking... but something weird happened...

I entered bios to check something and saw a message saying advances setting configuration has been changed or something like that so I went to check it out ... Fsb was automatically changed to 250 multi to 16X making it exact 4.0ghz ram to 1666mhz and it runs perfectly is this a feature the M5A97 has? kinda odd and cool I'd say my temps went down by 4C and it seems prety stable smile.gif
