Computer doesn't fully start. PSU suspect. - Page 2

Well I'm still having issues. It's been a year and the dang thing refuses to work.

I've since recieved a junker computer and the PSU works fine in it. The ram works aswell although one stick apears to be bad. I even use the wireless card in the junker. Just today I applied new thermal paste and reseated the CPU outside of the case to rule that out.

I'm getting so frustrated. I'm at my wits end here. I can't find a single issue that would cause this to happen. Could the psu really be too small for the computer? It doesn't even have a graphics card in it.

If I can get it working I need to sell some of the parts due to a baby on the way. But I can't sell anything if I can't verify everything works correctly.

I will amend this to the OP I don't think a new thread is warrented.

Today is the first day I've been to overclock.net in a few months so I don't know if you still have the problem or created another thread. If you have already tried everything I suggested in post #10 along with everyone else's suggestions then I wonder if the PSU is actually underpowered. Some PSU's need the load of a few items connected before they operate correctly.
I suppose the CPU could be bad if as you said in post #7 that taking the RAM out doesn't cause a beep code. The motherboard should be giving a beep code for a bad processor in this case though.
