Dont know where to begin with keyboard switches

Thread Starter
Hey guys so its time to upgrade my keyboard. Ive currently been using the logitech g110. i have a few ideas of what i want eg back lit with colours but i have no idea which switch type would be best/ i like. My mate has the razer blackwidow and i love the feel of the keys except the clicking noise is just a bit too much for my liking. i was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions

If that's too much noise, don't get blues.

That's about all I can comment on, lol.

Brown Switches. Clears if you can find them. If you like the feel, those are pretty much the two that you'll want to get that won't break your budget. Clears are really really REALLY hard to find in full-size keyboards, so it'd be best to go for browns. If you want a more linear sort of style, as in lacking the bump in blues and browns, you could try and go for reds and blacks.

You should be able to choose from the large list of mech boards that PC Case Gear has.

steelseries is black switches... way to stiff. Get the Das. Or if you can a ducky shine wink.gif. I think browns are a safe bet for you since you like the black widow.

If I had known earlier, I could have bought you a Ducky Shine here in Hong Kong before I head off to Australia and shipped it to you when I arrived.

Also, the black switches aren't too bad. I used them on my friend's board. They were quite nice, but they're just not blues for me. As for 7G and Professional, I say Professional! (Das fanboi here)
