i am building this system after 3 months

so already started doing research and so on,

and came up with this plan for airflow i noticed problem that i only have 1 exhaust also i want to keep the radiator getting the air fresh and cold from outside of the case don't want the hot air from inside the case
anyway what you think guys, any suggestion ? rolleyes.gif

if you only have one exhaust.. or are using only one...then dont put a fan in that slot. since you have a positive pressure building up in your case, the air is going to automatically look for the exit. with a fan in the way, you just impede the air flow. Thats what ive done with my case, and there is actually a pretty good youtube video showing exactly what im telling you.
I did this with my case, well actually since i have a mid tower i took the top back fan out and the rear fan out ...every other fan is bring air in, and in turn i dropped like 2-4 degrees in my temps. Try it out biggrin.gif

so the 140mm rear fan for exhaust will not that good, better to leave the spot empty ?

but about dust and so on when pc is off dust will go in , maybe make some sort of closing cap when switch off pc close it when pc working open it biggrin.gif

depends. How big are the fans pulling air in? IF all other fans are pulling air in, then yes i do believe that a less restrictive flow would give him slightly better temps. The pressure alone will push the air out fast enough, thats the point of positive pressure.

Dust...will be an issue no matter what. If you have negative pressure building up, then you are going to have the inside of the case sucking up the air from all cracks, you have positive pressure the fans suck the dust in. Dust is dust. To be honest I dont get as much dust as i thought i would get, but i do like to look inside my case and clean it often. thats me though.

anyways.. best way to find out which way is best is to just try both. Ive tried ever combination in my own case and ive opted for positive pressure with no rear fan. Works great thumb.gif .

+ rep everyone biggrin.gif well ye i will have to w8 my haf x case and check everyway , and yes i love opening my case to clean it biggrin.gif i use toothbrush to even clean my keyboard and mouse , then laptop etc...

last question is the gpu, something not reference deign

like asus gtx 680, Dic II top, they push air away from card to throw away hot air, or they pull air towards the gpu to bring cold air towards the card? , as far as i know they pull air not sure,


coz if they push air away from card then i can put side fan to exhaust biggrin.gif witch will help gpu fan;s otherwise will coz problem

OK, so I have:

2 x 120mm intake fans - front - Stock Corsair
2 x 140mm intake fans - side - Bitfenix Spectre
2 x 140mm exhaust fans - top - Bitfenix Spectre
1 x 120mm exhaust fan - rear - Stock Corsair

I was just wondering if this is optimal airflow? My Hyper 212 EVO also has a 120mm fan that is pulling air through the heatsink towards the rear of the case.

hi new to the forums here. smile.gif i want to know what you guys think of my cooling. when i turn my 120mm intake and exhaust on my cpu jumps temp about 5 degrees. it usually sits around 25 degrees celcius at the core while idle but as soon as i turn on my 2 120mm fans it jumps up in temp. nothing to worry about just want to know if my intake and exhaust is too equal,

Hi guys,
Its my new build of my pc, cpu cooler is NH-D14

IBT in one of hot sunny day ( in OCCT max 62 and in battlefield 3 max 54 celsia )



this is screen of my fan position ( front is 120MM CM exalibrium 2000RPM 4pin and on top some NOCTUA NF-S12 another one on front and back are some basic corsair fans and last one i want add fan to the side for cooling my GPU )
