HP Dm1z with E-450 Max Memory Support?

Thread Starter
I plan on getting the HP Dm1z with the AMD E-450 APU. I know that it can support up to 8GB RAM at 1333MHz, but has anybody tried 1600MHz+ RAM? I'd really like to use these in it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104259

Also, what CPU/GPU overclocking support does it have?

No overclocking support through the BIOS. The best you can do is throw 8gb in alongside a decent SATA II SSD. I've had mine for several months and as anticipated it does better than a netbook, but it's still a 1.6ghz dual core APU so you're not going to see the kind of performance that a notebook offers. It's good enough for HD playback, light gaming (handles COD4 on low settings,) and of course it is perfect for web browsing. I bought it more for the ultra-portable aspect rather than it's performance. Though I haven't looked into it, it may be possible to overclock via software? Good luck on your purchase and hopefully I've helped answer your question - mcstrublemcstruble
