What exactly are you putting on the SSD? Make sure you only install programs that really benefit from the extra speed there; programs that don't take long to load up to begin with, or that you rarely use, should be installed on the HDDs so you can save the precious SSD space for the things that really need it.

I ain't savvy enough, yet.

I'll have to read more to find out how to load on the 1TB HD INSTEAD of on the 256 GB SSD.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for the heads-up!

Just select the HDD station instead of the SSD when installing something. I don't know what drive letter the guys at Alienware assigned to the HDD but if you look in explorer, it'll say so right there. You'll need to select custom install rather than express install for this option usually.
440

Also things like pictures, videos, any general storage should be on the HDDs (just in case you're moving everything on the SSD;)).

It works everyday and doesn't overheat, but yes I did a short OCCT stresser without problems.

Real easy and simple tweak to BIOS...

I increased the multiplier until it BSOD'd and then backed it off one time.

***

OTOH, I made the error of updating AMD CCC to v12.3.

I should have left it at v12.1. mad.gif
