DRats sale is a amazing buy. If you can afford them, jump up and grab em.

Which m/b?
I'm still recommending 2600k because he will be able to just pop an Ivy Bridge in when they come out! wink.gif

2600k is your best bet, can complete bigadv on time and might even make it after the bigadv update. 2600k setups are still the best ppd/$, they even beat 4p setup in terms of part costs.

If you have a little more, I'd suggest 3930k instead of 2600k, You will get around 140k PPD w/o having to get another set of stuff such as ram, psu and case thumb.gif

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I am running an i5 right now so I will be popping in a new ivy bridge i7 when they come out so I can fold on this when Im not gaming.

I forgot that I still have my old i7-920 in the closet so I am going to buy everything else and get that going. So I guess the new question would be a 3rd computer for around $350?

You won't get much for $350.
I'd save it up or just throw it on a decent GPU. thumb.gif

Aye, $350 wouldn't get you much of a Folding rig, and certainly not a very efficient one.

Since you don't pay for the electricity, why not a GTX 560 Tis? Decent PPD, and would keep you going well until you're able to get a more robust Folding rig. :)

Well I have a HD 7970 on the way right now smile.gif However, I still have my i7-920 and I am currently using two 6870's in crossfire which will become available once the 7970 shows up. So I am thinking that I will just buy a hard drive, some ram, and a cd-rom drive and just set that up. Thoughts?
