LED strip with controller

Thread Starter
Ive been looking at the Bitfenix Alchemy Connect LEDs but they do not have a power controller with them for turning them on and off....are there any other LED kits that come with them?

(i know the NZXT ones do but i dont think they are bright enough)

EDIT: I was also thinking, if i couldnt get a kit bright enough.....how would i go about possibly wiring the reset button from the case as an on/off button for the leds, if it would work?

The NZXT ones are nice, I have em and I like them alot. You could always just make your own from what ever kind of 'super bright' leds that you want. They are very cheap and you can get the really big bright ones for a good price if you look around. Or you could just get a PCI card rocker switch or something similar and wire that into the other LEDs you were wanting.

it may be just because videos and pictures dont do them justice but i just didnt think they were bright enough.....i am still considering them tho as they already have the switch on them.

i was looking at making up a little linkage wire, bit more work but who cares, so it would have a 2 pin molex on each end with the switch roughly half way through, like an extension, that way i can just reuse it by unplugging it from the LED strip and the power cable.
For using the reset button, would it work as a switch as it doesnt stay closed when it is pressed does it? so it would power up and then turn off....

Correct. You would need a different switch.

The reset switch is a momentary pushbutton, so it is on only as long as you hold the button. What you'd need is a latching pushbutton, toggle, rocker, etc.
