Good PC horror games?

Kinda like the Penumbra series. Anything remotely close to that?
resident evil 5
DOOM 3
any of the FEAR series, HOLY CRAP that series is scary
Amnesia series
Silent hill series

on another note, the level 343 Guilty Spark in Halo 1 is also really scary, to me.

Might not be fully classified as a scary/horror game, but I just started playing metro 2033, and its pretty damn eerie, the of course the surprise scenes.

Also, dead space, both of them were pretty fun to play.

Amnesia is by the same guys who did Penumbra. I haven't played it, but I watch my old roommate play it and I ran out of there. To hell with that game! So, if you want something horror-based, Amnesia is the way to go

I've played Amnesia before, but its been a long time and I don't think I finished it. I'll have to re-install that one. That, and the FEAR series. Believe it or not, I've actually never played any of the FEAR games, I'll have to pick those up.

Thanks for all the suggestions. +rep to everyone that helped thumb.gif

Amnesia was the first game ever to have me play during daylight and low volume only. Playing the game at night was off limits.
